While developing the Keyboard Shortcut Manager, I realized the importance of optimizing computer workflows and sharing best practices of SaaS applications among teams. Existing solutions involved using Google Docs and pasting screenshots or utilizing tools like Loom. However, I believed there was a better way to learn software, which led to the creation of Quic, a macOS app.

Quic allows users to quickly create small workflow tutorials using the native GIF and screenshot capture features of macOS, eliminating the need for Loom videos. Additionally, team members can conveniently view these tutorials in a picture-in-picture transparent overlay on macOS, avoiding the hassle of starting and stopping videos.

During a month-long trial period with more than 10 startups and scale-ups in Berlin and London, Quic proved to simplify the process of capturing, sharing, and learning software workflows. However, we discovered that the problem we aimed to solve was not urgent or significant enough. Existing solutions like ScribeHow and Loom were generally sufficient.
